After rainy days, Provincial Road 166 through Y Can Commune (Tran Yen District) to Au Lau Commune (Yen Bai City, Yen Bai Province) became more muddy, causing difficulties for traffic participants.
It is worth mentioning that although the road has been degraded and damaged, every day, hundreds of heavy trucks carrying sand and construction materials travel day and night on this road.
"Every time it rains, the flooded road makes no difference where the road surface is to go. Below are interspersed elephant holes, along with broken ditches that create very dangerous traps. Until now, we don't know who to ask for help from anymore," Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, village 6, Y Can commune worried.

Mr. Vu Quoc Tien - Chairman of Y Can Commune People's Committee said: "We have made many recommendations to the district and province about the large-duty vehicles carrying too much sand and construction materials but have not yet decreased".
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy - Chairman of Au Lau Commune People's Committee also shared: "At meetings with voters of the People's Council at 3 levels, the locality has given a lot of opinions on this. Currently, the commune police are also coordinating with the Traffic Police Department - Yen Bai Provincial Police to check the vehicle's load".
According to Mr. Huy, trucks traveling at high density in the first few months of 2025 have appeared since the ban on Yen Bai bridge. This situation has seriously affected the lives of local people for a long time.
