Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) said that from May 14, 2026, Yen Vien Bus Enterprise will officially put into operation 23 electric buses on route No. 54 (Long Bien - Bac Ninh), replacing all diesel vehicles currently operating on the route.
This is a modern urban bus line, designed with a low floor, integrated with assistive devices for people with disabilities and many amenities to serve passengers, contributing to improving service quality and travel experience.
Vehicles with the characteristic green color according to the Hanoibus brand identity, combined with peace bird and Khue Van Cac motifs on the body, create a modern, friendly and rich identity image of Hanoi's public transport.
According to Transerco, putting electric buses into operation on route 54 not only contributes to improving the service quality for passengers on the journey connecting Hanoi with Bac Ninh, but also continues to affirm the enterprise's determination in the roadmap to switch to clean energy vehicles.
From the beginning of 2026 to now, Transerco has put into operation 152 medium and large-sized electric buses on many key routes. With the addition of 23 vehicles this time, the total number of electric buses of the Corporation has increased to 175 vehicles, contributing to promoting the green transformation roadmap, building a modern and environmentally friendly public transport image of the Capital.
In addition to replacing diesel vehicles with electric buses on subsidized routes, Transerco also focuses on investing in depot infrastructure, charging stations, and applying digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in management, operation and customer care to improve service quality, towards building a civilized, modern and sustainable public transport system.
