At noon on June 6, the leader of the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police said that the unit is coordinating with functional forces to examine the scene and investigate the cause of the traffic collision that occurred in Cu Jut commune.
According to functional agencies, in addition to 1 victim who died on the spot, 2 others died at the medical facility due to severe injuries, and the remaining 3 victims are being treated for emergency treatment.
Initial information shows that at about 7:40 am on June 6, at Km1801+600 of the Ho Chi Minh road, passing through Cu Jut commune, a tractor-trailer with license plate 47H-040.88 pulling trailer 47RM-005.98 driven by Mr. Nguyen Huu Duc (residing in Ea Kao ward, Dak Lak province) was traveling in the direction of Dong Nai - Dak Lak.
When arriving at the above location, the vehicle collided with a tractor truck without license plates driven by Mr. Y.S. Êban (born 1994, residing in Cư Jút commune) traveling in the opposite direction. The tractor truck was carrying 4 more people sitting behind.
The strong collision caused Mr. Y.S. Êban to die at the scene.
2 other victims died at Cu Jut Medical Center, including: MSc. Eban Y Thuong and MSc. Mon Prieng (both residing in Cu Jut commune). In addition, 3 other injured people are being treated.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported: Immediately after receiving the news, traffic police, Cu Jut Commune Police and functional units were present to protect the scene; at the same time, they took the victims to the emergency room, regulated traffic and organized an examination to serve the investigation.
The cause of the accident is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
