On June 6, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of Quy Nhon Ward People's Committee (Gia Lai) said that there was initial verification information about a foreigner blocking a tractor-trailer, smashing vehicles and attacking a driver on Dong Da street.
According to verification, at about 8:45 am on June 5, Mr. Nguyen Van B. (born in 1987, residing in Phu Cat commune, Gia Lai province) was driving a tractor-trailer with license plate 77C on Dong Da street, heading towards the Quy Nhon yacht area.
At the same time, Mr. David P. B. (New Zealand nationality, currently residing in Quy Nhon Nam ward) was driving a motorbike in the same direction.

When the tractor-trailer stopped, Mr. David P. B. claimed that the tractor-trailer driver had a dangerous driving situation, forcing his car, so he was upset. This person used a metal bar to approach the driver's seat door and threatened the driver, smashing the front glass of the tractor-trailer.
The incident damaged the glass of the tractor-trailer and motorbike. Through working with functional agencies, the two sides found that there were no injuries, no significant damage and it stemmed from a misunderstanding when participating in traffic, so they voluntarily reconciled.
Currently, Quy Nhon Ward Police have prepared a case file and continue to handle it according to regulations.
As Lao Dong reported, on the morning of June 5, a tractor-trailer driven by Mr. Nguyen Van B. was suddenly blocked by a foreigner riding a motorbike.
This person then held a metal bar to approach the cabin, attacked the driver and smashed the car window. The driver promptly reversed to avoid attacks.
The driver affirmed that the two sides did not know each other and there had not been a traffic collision before.
