On the afternoon of April 11, Da Huoai Commune Police (Lam Dong) said that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area between an electric bicycle and a car, killing 1 person.
Previously, at about 1 pm on the same day, at Km84+800 National Highway 20, passing through Da Huoai commune, an accident occurred between an electric bicycle and a car.
At the above time, an electric bicycle driven by Dinh Chan Khang (16 years old), carrying Ngo Quang Hiep (15 years old, a 9th grade student), also residing in Da Huoai 3 commune, was traveling in the direction from Lam Dong to Dong Nai.
When arriving at the above location, due to avoiding vehicles in the same direction in front, the electric bicycle fell.
While falling, this vehicle collided with a car with license plate 18A-180.57 driven by Mr. Tran Van Tuong, traveling in the opposite direction.
The accident caused the electric bicycle to be heavily damaged, the two victims were thrown onto the road and injured, and were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
However, due to severe injuries, Ngo Quang Hiep died later. Dinh Chan Khang was very fortunate to only suffer minor scratches.
Immediately after receiving the news, functional forces of Lam Dong province and Da Huoai commune were present to regulate traffic, examine the scene, and investigate to clarify the cause of the accident.
Currently, the cause of the incident is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
