By dawn on July 7, the Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Provincial Police and professional units had completed the scene examination of the traffic accident that killed and injured 2 people on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway.
The accident occurred at Km153+100, passing through Bac Binh commune, Lam Dong province.
According to initial information, at about 11:30 pm on July 6, a refrigerated truck with license plate 50H-089. 75 driven by driver D.Q. H (born 1995), carrying assistant driver H.T. B, was traveling on the highway in the South - North direction.
When arriving at the above location, the refrigerated truck crashed into the rear of a truck in the same direction in front.
The strong collision caused the front of the refrigerated truck to be deformed, stuck to the rear of the vehicle in front. The driver and assistant driver were trapped in the cabin.
Through inspection, functional forces determined that one person had died and the other was injured.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 7, Lam Dong Provincial Police mobilized specialized vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene.
Rescue forces used specialized equipment to drill and cut off the deformed cabin to bring the two victims out. The injured were then transferred to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Department of Traffic Police) coordinates with the route management unit to regulate vehicles through the accident area.
The Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Provincial Police and functional units have examined the scene and conducted an autopsy to investigate the cause of the incident.
By dawn on July 7, the scene examination and handling were completed. Related vehicles were relocated, and traffic on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway returned to normal.
