124 individuals of the Vietnamese delegation awarded the Medal "Hero of Venezuela

The Venezuelan government awarded the "Hero of Venezuela" medal to the Vietnamese delegation participating in overcoming the consequences of the earthquake in the South American country.

According to the decision signed by Venezuelan interim President Delcy Rodríguez, the Vietnamese delegation collective was awarded the First-class "Hero of Venezuela" medal, and 124 individuals of the delegation were awarded the Second-class "Hero of Venezuela" medal.

This is a noble award from the Venezuelan Government to recognize and honor the contributions of the collective as well as members of the Vietnamese delegation in participating in overcoming the post-double earthquake disaster.

On July 6 (local time), representatives of the Venezuelan Government officially awarded the "Hero of Venezuela" medal to the collective and individuals of the Vietnamese delegation.

Previously, on July 3 (local time), Venezuelan interim President Delcy Rodríguez visited the deployment location, encouraged and presented a letter of thanks to the Vietnamese delegation.

In particular, the interim President of Venezuela awarded the Order of Merit for service to the professional dog team of the Vietnamese delegation for their outstanding achievements in participating in search and rescue and overcoming the consequences of the earthquake in Venezuela. Among them, dog Xu Kip was honored to be represented in wearing the medal, having participated in search and rescue in Nu village. There are 3 other dogs who also participated in rescue and relief missions, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in Turkey and Myanmar in 2023 and 2025.

To date, the Vietnamese delegation has found and removed dozens of victims' bodies from the rubble and handed them over to the local authorities, contributing to easing the immense pain of the country and the Venezuelan people. In parallel, the delegation also conducted medical examinations, provided free medicine, gave gifts, and supported local people in moving property.
