Golf player Nguyen Anh Minh is uncertain to participate in the Vietnam Masters 2025 professional golf tournament taking place from October 8 to 10 in Tay Ninh.
This year's tournament has a total prize money of 90,000 USD, expected to attract nearly 140 golfers to participate. Athletes are professional golfers on the VGA Tour, young amateur talents of Vietnamese golf and international athletes from the Asian Development Professional Golf Tournament (ADT) system are awarded a place to participate.
The organizing committee stipulates that 78 professional golfers in the ADT system, 6 people designated by ADT, 30 members of VGA Tour, 24 special and amateur positions selected by the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) are allocated to participate in the tournament. The tournament will be played on a 54-hole stick format, after 36 holes there will be a cut cut cut, selecting 50 golfers with the best results to enter the final.
Last year, the Vietnam Masters tournament had the participation of golfers from ADT. In this tournament, Nguyen Anh Minh won the Best Amateur title. The championship of Vietnam Mastes 2024 went to Ahmad Baig, with a score of -13.
The organizers said that the Royal Long An Golf & Country Club (Tay Ninh) has 27 holes designed by legend Nick Faldo. This is the 3rd consecutive year that Royal Long An Golf & Country Club has hosted the tournament.
Currently, Nguyen Anh Minh is in the US participating in golf tournaments.
