Two years ago, the Vietnam Golf Team won the Nomura Cup 2024.
This year, the goal of Vietnamese golfers is to strive to compete to defend the championship.
However, at the end of the last round, round 4, of the Asia-Pacific Amateur Golf Team Championship 2026 - Nomura Cup 2026 held in Beijing (China), we were only ranked 9th.
In the final round, 3 golfers Ho Anh Huy, Nguyen Tuan Anh and Nguyen Van Hoa focused on finding opportunities to improve their performance in order to have the best results in the overall team rankings.
After the final decisive holes of round 4, Ho Anh Huy scored Even Par while Nguyen Tuan Anh scored +3, Nguyen Van Hoa scored +3.
In the end, the Vietnamese golf team achieved a total score of +5 after 4 rounds of competition and ranked 9th overall. This year's tournament has 21 participating teams.
The championship belonged to the Hong Kong (China) golf team when they won a total score of -15 after 4 rounds of competition.
In personal achievement, golfer Ho Anh Huy achieved an Even Par score after 4 rounds and kept the T10 rank. Nguyen Tuan Anh is ranked T20 with a score of +5.
The coaching staff of the Vietnamese golf team assessed that the rounds of this year's tournament were an opportunity for 3 Vietnamese golfers to accumulate more expertise for themselves.
Among the 3 faces competing in this tournament, Nguyen Tuan Anh will participate in ASIAD 20 in mid-September this year in Japan.
