This year is the 10th year that the Vietnam Open Youth Golf Tournament has been held.
Golfers compete on the field at Silk Path Dong Trieu Golf & Country Club (Quang Ninh) from July 9 to 11. 7.
The tournament attracted more than 100 golfers registered to compete in the men's and women's groups. In addition to the host golfers, the tournament also has the participation of international faces from Thailand, Myanmar, South Korea, and Australia.
The organizers will compete according to groups including U21 men, women, U15 men, U18 men, U11 men, U15 women, U11 women, U13 men, U7 men, women, U9 men, women.
Some golfers from the host country are expected by experts to achieve good results at this year's tournament such as Nguyen Bao Phat (U15 men's group), Nguyen Quang Za Vinh, Do Duong Gia Minh, Nguyen Trong Hoang (U18 men's group), Than Bao Nghi, Anna Le (U18 women's group), Arena Tran (U15 women's group)...
According to the regulations of the Organizing Committee, the achievements of athletes in the U15 men's, U18 men's, U18 women's and U21 groups will be counted as accumulated points on the world amateur golf rankings - WAGR.
The entire tournament's golfers will compete for 3 days with a total of 54 holes. After the first 36 holes, the tournament will conduct a cut-off to select the best athlete to continue.
According to regulations, only 50% of golfers after elimination have the best results and draws will win tickets to the final round.
Last year, the champion of the tournament was golfer Nguyen Tuan Anh. This year, Tuan Anh did not participate in the competition.
