The world of amateur golf has just announced the application of a new scoring method to rank athletes from 2026, so many golfers have changed their positions.
Le Chuc An has not competed in any official international tournament since SEA Games 33 until now. She is the defending national champion of Vietnamese golf. At the same time, Le Chuc An once won a bronze individual medal for women at SEA Games 33.
This year, Le Chuc An will move to join the University of Tennessee (University of Tennessee) in the US to study culture and also wear the jersey of this school's golf team. She will have the opportunity to compete in the golf tournament of the university system in the US (NCAA Division I).
The Vietnamese golf team is developing a professional preparation plan for ASIAD 20. However, the registration of the competition force will be carefully reviewed by management levels, based on forecasts of opportunities to achieve achievements.
According to the professional program, Le Chuc An will participate in the 2026 Asian – Pacific Women's Amateur Golf Tournament (Women's Amateur Asia – Pacific, WAAP 2026) held in New Zealand from February 12 to 15.
Vietnamese women's golfers include Chuc An and Nguyen Viet Gia Han were invited to compete in this tournament, but golfer Gia Han withdrew for personal reasons. Therefore, Chuc An is the only representative of Vietnamese women's golf to receive a slot to participate in the tournament.
