The Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) has announced that the competition results of the 2025 Vietnam Open Men's and Women's Amateur Golf Championship will be used as the selection criteria for the Vietnam Golf Team to participate in the 33rd SEA Games. This year's tournament will be played from June 11 to June 14 at a golf course in Da Lat (Lam Dong).
From a professional perspective, in charge of the golf department (Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports) and also the coach of the Vietnam Golf Team - Mr. Nguyen Thai Duong expressed: "I understand that all athletes are preparing very focused to be ready to compete in the tournament. Above all, they are determined to achieve the best results. Let's temporarily put the pressure of having to compete for a place in the 33rd SEA Games on one side, where everyone must have the most accuracy in each event to achieve high scoring results for themselves".
Experts see that the criteria for selecting competition results to find players to participate in the 33rd SEA Games is the reason why this year's tournament attracts many top golfers to register to participate. Some names can be mentioned such as: Nguyen Tuan Anh, Do Duong Gia Minh, Nguyen Bao Minh, Nguyen Dang Minh, Ho Anh Huy, Doan Huy, Nguyen Ngoc Gia Huy, Nguyen Duc Son, Le Chuc An, Nguyen Bao Chau, Nguyen Viet Gia Han... In particular, the champion of SEA Games 32, national athlete Le Khanh Hung is present in Da Lat (Lam Dong) to participate.
Athletes will compete in 4 rounds with a total of 72 holes to find the champion.
