Flash floods and landslides can threaten people's lives
On the afternoon of June 12, Hue City issued a warning of flash floods, landslides and land subsidence due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, especially in many communes and wards in A Luoi, Phu Loc, Phu Vang, Huong Thuy, Huong Tra and Phong Dien.
In the past 24 hours (from 2:00 p.m. on June 11 to 2:00 p.m. on June 12), Hue has recorded very heavy rain. Rainfall at Bach Ma peak reached 760mm, Khe Tre 501.6mm, VQG Bach Ma 606.2mm, Hong Van 427.4mm, Phu Son 347.4mm. Many areas have reached saturated soil moisture, exceeding 80%.
It is forecasted that in the next 6 hours, Hue will continue to have moderate to heavy rain, with accumulated rainfall ranging from 40 - 70mm, in some places over 80mm.

Warning of high risk of flash floods and landslides in many localities such as A Luoi (A Ngo, Hong Van, Dong Son...), Huong Tra town (Tu Ha, Huong Binh...), Huong Thuy town (Phu Son, Duong Hoa), Phu Loc (Loc Dien, Loc Hoa...), Phong Dien town (Phong Xuan, Phong My...) and other vulnerable areas.

Flash floods and landslides can threaten people's lives, destroy civil works, affect traffic and cause damage to production and the economy and society. Localities are required to review vulnerable points and proactively plan prevention and response.
Nearly 13,000 hectares of summer-autumn rice in Hue are flooded
Vinasarcom Hue City today said that the circulation of storm No. 1 caused heavy rain, causing nearly 13,000 hectares of summer-autumn rice to be flooded, many places suffered serious landslides.
From 7:00 p.m. on June 10 to 7:00 a.m. on June 12, the common rainfall in Hue was 150 - 350mm; Bach Ma peak recorded 710mm, Giang Hai 469mm, Khe Tre 450mm.

Heavy rain on the night of June 11 to the early morning of June 12 caused flooding on many inter-village and inter-commune roads in Phong Dien (Phong My, Phong Xuan), Phu Loc (Loc An, Loc Dien), and wards and communes in Hue City, Huong Thuy, and A Luoi.
A total of 12,758 hectares of newly sown summer-autumn rice were flooded, concentrated in Phu Vang (4,568 hectares), Phu Loc (1,800 hectares), Phong Dien (1,754 hectares), Huong Thuy (1,400 hectares), Quang Dien (1,500 hectares), Thuan Hoa district (1,120 hectares). Localities are coordinating to urgently pump and drain water.

Heavy rains also caused many landslides such as: 20m long Taluy at La Son - Tuy Loan highway (Phu Loc), Provincial Road 14C (Huong Loc), 15m long Taluy in Ho Chi Minh road, Phu Vinh commune (A Luoi). The dangerous positions have been barrier.
It is forecasted that from June 12 to 13, Hue will continue to have heavy to very heavy rain, with a total amount of 70 - 150mm, some places over 200mm, concentrated on the day and night of June 12.
The Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Hue City warns of a high risk of flash floods, landslides, coastal erosion, urban flooding and requires localities to proactively plan response according to the "four on-site" motto.
