Many areas in Quang Binh are isolated
According to Lao Dong Newspaper, on the afternoon of June 12, the rain in Dong Hoi City was still very heavy.
According to the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention - Search and Rescue of Quang Binh province, from the night of June 11 to the afternoon of June 12, due to the impact of storm No. 1 (WUTIP), many areas in Quang Binh province experienced moderate to very heavy rain. Some places have high rainfall such as Vuc Tron Lake (261.2mm), Quang Minh (247mm), Phong Nha (233.2mm), causing flooding and localized isolation in mountainous communes.

Ca Roong 2 tunnel (Thuong Trach commune) and the routes to Ploang and Rin villages (Truong Son commune) were also cut off due to rising floodwaters.
On Provincial Road 562 - the route from Phong Nha town to Thuong Trach - a landslide occurred at km36, with rocks and soil spilling onto the road surface, obstructing traffic.
Currently, the entire reservoir system in the province is still ensuring safety. Localities are continuing to operate pumping stations, build flood-proof embankments and closely monitor weather developments to proactively respond to arising situations.
River water continues to rise rapidly
On June 12, due to the impact of storm No. 1 (WUTIP), many border areas of Quang Binh province experienced moderate to heavy rain, causing local isolation in some mountainous areas.
In Mit Cat village (Kim Thuy commune, Le Thuy district), the stream water rose rapidly, causing the whole village to be flooded. Lang Ho Border Guard Station deployed a working group of 10 people to Mit Cat village to support the evacuation. During the night, 10 households with 52 people were evacuated to safety.

Currently, there is still heavy rain in the area, the water level in rivers and streams continues to rise rapidly. Border guards are on duty in the area, and use loudspeaker systems and social networks to advise people not to go into the forest, not to fish in rivers and streams and absolutely not to go through dangerous spillways.
Functional units are closely monitoring weather developments and preparing forces and means to respond to emergency situations.
Nearly 1,500 hectares of summer-autumn rice in Quang Binh were deeply flooded due to storm No. 1
On June 12, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Bo Trach district (Quang Binh province) said that due to the impact of storm No. 1, prolonged heavy rain caused deep flooding in the district's summer-autumn rice area, with the possibility of having to re-sow a large part.
The entire Bo Trach district has completed the summer-autumn rice planting on an area of 2,670 hectares, exceeding the plan by 2,590 hectares.

However, from the night of June 11 to the morning of June 12, heavy rain caused nearly 1,500 hectares of rice to be flooded, concentrated in Lien Trach, Hung Trach, Son Loc, Tay Trach, Cu Nam, Ha My communes and Phong Nha town.
With the current situation, the risk of having to replant flooded rice areas is very high.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Bo Trach district is continuing to direct communes to proactively respond to storms, implement measures to drain rice fields and instruct people to re-sow rice when the weather conditions are favorable.
