At the solemn session held on the morning of June 18, Ms. Tran Lan Phuong - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union presented a summary of the Political Report of the 13th Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union at the 14th National Congress of Women, term 2026 - 2031.
With the motto "Solidarity - Courage - Compassion - Creativity - Development", the Congress has the task of evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of Women in the period 2022 - 2026; reviewing the implementation of tasks of the 13th Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU); electing the 14th Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union; setting out directions and tasks for the 2026 - 2031 term to promote the women's movement, build a strong and effective Women's Union organization; striving for the development of women and gender equality, contributing to building a democratic, prosperous, civilized and happy country.

Under the leadership and deep concern of the Party, the involvement of the entire political system, Vietnamese women with 50.1% of the country's population are increasingly promoting their potential and strengths, affirming their roles and positions in all fields of social life. Actively participating in emulation movements and campaigns of the country, responding to the emulation movement "Building Vietnamese Women in the New Era" launched by the 13th National Congress of Women, all classes of women have united, been creative, emulated in labor and production, well performed their roles in the family, made important contributions in all fields, contributing to the successful implementation of the country's socio-economic development goals.
In which, in the political field, women not only affirm their leadership role and capacity to participate in policy planning and implementation but also bring a humane perspective, promoting fairness, progress and sustainable development. Women are increasingly actively participating in building the Party and building the political system. Millions of women have actively contributed opinions to the Draft documents of Party Congresses at all levels and the 14th National Party Congress, participating in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. The proportion of female National Assembly deputies of the 16th term reached 30%, higher than the world and regional average; the proportion of female deputies of People's Councils at provincial and commune levels and female Party committees increased compared to the previous term.
It can be affirmed that Vietnamese women have been and are making important and comprehensive contributions in all fields of social life; increasingly promoting their role and position, actively participating in building the Party and political system, preserving national cultural identity, contributing to the country's progress and sustainable development; being people who preserve their homes, raise their children, take care of their spiritual lives, and build progressive, civilized, prosperous and happy families.
One of the main goals in the new term is that 100% of Women's Unions at all levels effectively implement the movement "Digital literacy"; 100% of grassroots-level Women's Unions implement the movement "Each woman chooses a suitable sport to practice for health".
Every year, 20,000 households with women are helped by the Association to escape poverty and near-poverty in multiple directions; 10,000 women entrepreneurs, business owners, business household owners, women managers of cooperatives and cooperative groups receive legal advice, improve their capacity, knowledge, and in-depth skills in starting a business and starting a business; 2,500 business households owned by women are guided and supported to register to convert into businesses.
By the end of the term, strive to increase from 700,000 to 800,000 members compared to the beginning of the term.
By the end of the term, 100% of full-time Association officials at all levels meet the capacity requirements according to job positions, digital capacity and Front work skills; 90% or more of branch chairmen are trained in professional skills for Association work...

Breakthrough stages: Breakthrough stage 1: Promoting the role of the Association organization in improving the quality of women's human resources, meeting the requirements of the new era. Breakthrough stage 2: Comprehensive digital transformation in the Association system; innovating content and methods of operation, focusing strongly on grassroots levels, close to the people, for the people. Breakthrough stage 3: Promoting women's entrepreneurship, innovation, and legitimate enrichment.
