The 14th National Women's Congress for the term 2026 - 2031 has the participation of 789 delegates who are typical women, representing all classes of women, ethnic groups, religions, fields of work and social components throughout the country.
The Congress has the theme "Vietnamese Women promote tradition, bravery, intelligence, responsibility; build a strong Union organization; promote gender equality, realize great national unity, join hands to build a democratic, rich, prosperous, civilized, and happy country".
On the first working day (June 17), the Congress approved the Congress Working Regulations, Election Regulations; Report on thẩm tra (verification) of delegate status; Vote to approve the report on thẩm tra (verification) of delegate status; Review report of the 13th Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union; Report summarizing the implementation of the 13th Central Executive Committee's Charter and submitting the amendment and supplementation of the Charter of the Vietnam Women's Union; approving the Charter of the Vietnam Women's Union (amended and supplemented); Electing the 14th Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union for the term 2026 - 2031; Approving the election results of the 14th Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, term 2026 - 2031. The Congress highly unanimously agreed on the number of members of the 14th Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union for the term 2026 - 2031, including 127 members, of which 111 members were elected at the Congress.
Immediately after that, the first Conference of the 14th Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, term 2026 - 2031 took place.
According to the plan, at the solemn session taking place on the morning of June 18, a summary of the Political Report of the 13th Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union at the 14th National Congress of Women, term 2026 - 2031 will be presented. In addition, delegates will continue to give speeches in the hall.
