On June 6, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Phu Quoi commune organized a launching ceremony to respond to the emulation movement "All people join hands to protect the environment, for a green - clean - beautiful Vietnam" on the internal road of Hoa Phu Industrial Park.
Participating in the launching ceremony were representatives of leaders of the Party Committee, Phu Quoi Commune People's Committee, socio-political organizations, hamlet heads, heads of Fatherland Front committees and a large number of union members and association members of mass organizations in the area.
The activity aims to raise awareness and responsibility of officials, union members, association members and people towards environmental protection, building green, clean, and beautiful landscapes, contributing to the implementation of sustainable development goals in the locality.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Ho Huy Cuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Quoi commune - said that the locality is facing many environmental challenges such as increased domestic waste, water pollution, air pollution and the impact of climate change.
According to Mr. Ho Huy Cuong, environmental protection is an important task, associated with the sustainable development goals of the locality. This is not only the responsibility of all levels and sectors but also of each citizen.
Mr. Ho Huy Cuong called on officials, union members, association members and people to actively respond to the movement with practical actions such as not littering indiscriminately, sorting waste at source, planting trees and preserving the environmental landscape.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the forces simultaneously launched a campaign to sweep and collect waste along the corridors and sidewalks from the ceremony area to the main gate of Hoa Phu Industrial Park. Waste is collected and treated in accordance with regulations, contributing to improving the environmental landscape.
Through activities, the locality expects to continue to spread environmental protection awareness in the community, promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, and build Phu Quoi commune to become increasingly green, clean, beautiful and civilized.
