Speaking about Improving the quality of supervision work of the Vietnam Women's Union, delegate Nguyen Phuong Mai - Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairwoman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Women's Union proposed a number of solutions to make supervision work at all levels of the Women's Union increasingly effective, and continue to promote the role of women.

In which, continuing to raise awareness about the role of supervision work, the Associations at all levels need to continue to propagate and thoroughly grasp to officials and members to fully understand the meaning and importance of supervision activities. From there, promote the spirit of responsibility, proactively participate in supervising the implementation of policies and laws related to women and children.

Improve capacity for the team of Association officials, regularly organize training classes, foster legal knowledge, supervisory skills, and social criticism skills for Association officials at all levels. At the same time, encourage Association officials to proactively study and update knowledge to meet task requirements in the new situation.

Innovate methods and contents of supervision. The content of supervision needs to focus on practical issues directly related to the rights and interests of women, such as the implementation of policies to support women's economic development, labor and employment policies, and the protection of women and children from the risks of violence and abuse. The supervision method needs to be flexible, combining direct supervision, field surveys and collecting opinions from members, women and people...

These solutions are proposed based on the actual results of promoting the role and actively participating in supervision and social criticism of all levels of the Bac Ninh Provincial Women's Union. It is noteworthy that the Provincial Women's Union chose supervision as a key task content to register for implementation with the Central Union and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; considering this as one of the criteria for scoring emulation of the Women's Unions of districts, cities and grassroots levels. Every year, the Provincial Women's Union has built and implemented emulation targets to grassroots Women's Unions in the province with the content "100% of grassroots Women's Unions select and organize supervision of 1 policy related to women, children/gender equality"...

Also presenting at the Hall, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong - Head of the Women's Committee of Quang Tri Provincial Police - exchanged views on People's Police Women actively implementing social security work associated with ensuring security and order, creating a safe and healthy environment for women and children.

One of the tasks and solutions to promote the role of women in the People's Police in the coming time is to effectively organize the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congresses of the People's Police at all levels, effectively implement the three-first emulation movement: "Most disciplined - Most loyal - Closest to the people", build the image of women in the People's Police "Bravery - humanity - discipline - responsibility - serving the people"; seriously implement the Resolution of the Women's Congresses at all levels associated with the implementation of key tasks of the unit, creating an environment for cadres and members to train, contribute and grow, and together with the entire People's Police force to set an example, taking the lead in successfully implementing the Party's guidelines and policies in the new era of development.

Building a progressive, civilized, prosperous, and happy family in the current context

One of the contents discussed on the afternoon of June 17 was building a progressive, civilized, prosperous, and happy family in the current context.

With this content, in her presentation, delegate Doanh Thi Hieu - a member of the Women's Union of Ngan Son commune, Thai Nguyen province - shared: Participating in the activities of the Women's Union from 1996 to now, delegates have witnessed many positive changes in the lives of union members and women of the village branch of Zone I, especially through the campaign "Building a 5-no, 3-clean family" launched by the Central Vietnam Women's Union, the Provincial Women's Union concretized it into practical activities, with the "5 no" criteria, which are: no hunger, no poverty, no violation of the law and social evils, no domestic violence, no violation of population policy, no malnourished and dropping out of school children; "3 cleans" is clean house - clean kitchen - clean alley.

Delegate Doanh Thi Hieu said that the campaign "Building a 5-no, 3-clean family" launched by the Central Vietnam Women's Union since 2010 has truly become a widespread movement with great spread among officials, members, women and the community, contributing practically to improving the quality of family life, strengthening the protection of women and children, currently the Campaign has been supplemented with content to "Building a 5-no, 3-clean, 3-safe family" with 3 new contents being "Safety - Peace of Mind - Social Security". The delegate herself is very agreeing and excited, because these are very practical contents, in line with the aspirations of women and people, thereby creating a safe and stable living environment for families, so that families are always a loving and happy home for members, including women and children.

At the hall, in the 2nd working session, delegate Le Thi Ngoc Lam - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairwoman of the Gia Lai Provincial Women's Union - gave a presentation on Gia Lai women preserving and promoting the values of national cultural identity and building happy families.

Accordingly, the whole province has 47 ethnic groups living together, of which ethnic minorities are 831,497 people, accounting for 23.20% of the population, mainly the Jrai, Bahnar, Muong, Hre ethnic groups and other ethnic groups. The whole province currently has 668,850 members, participating in activities at 2,699 branches; the number of ethnic minority women members is 288,076. This is an important resource, and also sets requirements in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values associated with building happy families in the province.

Delegate Ngoc Lam said that deeply grasping the spirit of Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026 of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture, the Gia Lai Provincial Women's Union at all levels has proactively and creatively concretized it with many practical and effective models, not only contributing to preserving and spreading traditional cultural values but also closely linked with the goal of building happy families and sustainable socio-economic development in the locality. Notably, the promotion of the role of women as the subjects in preserving cultural heritage, especially the gong cultural space and traditional crafts of ethnic minorities.

Through specific models, women not only participate but also directly practice, teach and create in the process of cultural preservation, contributing to making traditional values a living part of family and community life.

Typical is the model "Women's Gong Team" with 82 members in Kong Chro commune. From the gongs previously mainly performed by men, to now, women have confidently participated in performances, mastered skills and proactively taught to the younger generation. Women's gong teams maintain regular activities, actively participate in performances at festivals, political and cultural events in the locality, becoming a bridge for cultural transmission between generations, contributing to preserving the "identity" of the nation in the modern flow.

Women directly practicing heritage not only contributes to restoring and maintaining traditional cultural space but also creates clear changes in awareness, affirming the position and role of women in community cultural life...
