On the morning of January 1, 2026, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ngai Tu commune coordinated with sponsors to organize the inauguration ceremony of the rural traffic bridge in Ap Giua in the joyful atmosphere of the people.
This is a project to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress, the 2026 Military-Civilian Tet and the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Vinh Long province, term 2026-2029.
Ham Giua bridge is built of reinforced concrete, 24 m long, 3.2 m wide, with a total cost of 320 million VND, sponsored by philanthropists of Vinh Long province.
Gia hamlet currently has 496 households with 1,636 people, mostly Khmer people; life is still difficult, the whole hamlet still has 38 poor and near-poor households, travel and trade conditions were previously limited.
After nearly 1 month of construction, the project was completed and put into use from the beginning of 2026, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere, opening up favorable conditions for transporting goods, living and studying for people.
The bridge helps connect Giua hamlet with Ky Son and Bang Tang hamlets, contributing to completing rural transport infrastructure, promoting socio-economic development and building Ngai Tu commune to become increasingly spacious and sustainable.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Le Minh Hien - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ngai Tu commune affirmed that putting ap Giua bridge into use is an important project, showing the joint efforts of the Party Committee, government and philanthropists in social security work.
Mr. Hien acknowledged and respectfully thanked the contributions of sponsoring families, contributing to improving the lives of people, especially Khmer ethnic people, building Ngai Tu commune to become increasingly spacious, modern, and sustainably developed.
