People's support
The family of Mr. Tran Dinh Hung, a resident of Thanh Khe ward, Da Nang city, is a typical beneficiary of the policy. Mr. Hung is a general laborer, making a living by transporting goods, life is extremely difficult. His old house has long been seriously degraded with rotten corrugated iron and completely damaged partitions. Every time the sun is harsh, the house is like a furnace, and when it rains, he has to rush to find clothes to collect water everywhere. On extreme weather days, water floods the floor, causing his life to fall into misery. Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Binh, Mr. Hung's older sister, shared: "I am very touched to see the leaders who removed temporary houses have come here to join hands with philanthropists to help my brother have a new house". Timely support from the government and community has brought a solid living space, helping him no longer worry every time the rainy and storm season comes.
Da Nang City has completed the goal of eliminating temporary houses in the period 2023 to 2025 with more than 12,000 newly built or repaired houses. According to the People's Committee of Da Nang City, Eliminating temporary houses and dilapidated houses is a program with profound socio-political significance, showing the spirit of responsibility, determination and great efforts of the entire political system and the whole society, is affection, is gratitude sent to policy families of people with meritorious services, relatives of martyrs, poor households, near-poor households and families in difficult circumstances.
Continuing the spirit of sharing
Continuing the success, at the end of April, Phuoc Tra commune implemented a new plan in 2026. Phuoc Tra Commune People's Committee identified this as a key task to improve the quality of life for people. Leaders of Phuoc Tra Commune People's Committee affirmed: "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is an important political task, with profound humanitarian significance; requesting departments, branches, unions and the whole society to join hands and mobilize maximum resources to support difficult households to soon stabilize their lives".

The commune's goal is to promptly support dozens of households of people with meritorious services and poor households to stabilize their accommodation with a total estimated cost of more than 3 billion VND. At the implementation conference, Phuoc Tra commune awarded decisions to support eligible households. The Standing Committee of the Commune Fatherland Front Committee called on units and individuals to actively contribute to the temporary housing eradication fund to accelerate progress. Great solidarity houses built from the hearts of the community will create conditions for households to feel secure in developing production. The program does not only stop at material support but also ignites the strength of solidarity, bringing the locality closer to the goal of sustainable poverty eradication and improving the lives of ethnic minorities in mountainous areas.
