On May 2nd, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lien Huong commune (Lam Dong province) said that it had coordinated with the People's Committee of the commune to organize a delegation to visit the victims and families of the victims in the oil tanker fire that occurred earlier.
The working delegation visited 2 injured victims, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thi and Mr. Do Ngoc Thong. Here, local representatives inquired about their health status, encouraged the victims to rest assured and recover soon to stabilize their lives. Each injured case was supported with 2,000,000 VND, deducted from the Relief Fund.

The delegation also came to the family of Mr. P.T. K - the victim who died in the incident, to share condolences and encourage relatives to overcome the loss. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lien Huong commune has provided support of 5,000,000 VND to share the immediate difficulties with the family.
As Lao Dong newspaper reported, on the morning of April 29, in the sea area of Binh Thanh hamlet 1, Lien Huong commune, a fire occurred on a tanker anchored about 500m from the shore. At this time, there were 3 people on board who were welding and repairing the deck.

During the working process, the ship suddenly emitted a loud explosion and then caught fire. The incident caused Mr. Thi and Mr. Thong to be thrown into the sea, discovered by fishermen and brought ashore for emergency treatment in a state of burns.
Mr. P.T. K was thrown into the sea and went missing. By the afternoon of April 30, functional forces had found the victim's body.
