On March 12, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union said that it had just organized the program "Youth bravery - Firm belief in elections", attracting more than 500 union members and youth to participate.
The program aims to raise awareness for union members and youth about election knowledge and political life. At the same time, it creates a forum for young people to exchange, exchange views and show responsibility for the country's socio-political issues.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Le Duc Sy - Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union affirmed that the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels is not only a basic political right of each citizen but also a sacred responsibility in participating in building a socialist rule-of-law state of the people, by the people and for the people.
In recent years, Nghe An youth have always promoted the pioneering spirit in patriotic emulation movements, activities for the community and participated in building and protecting the Fatherland. Youth union members are also an active force in propaganda and mobilization, contributing to spreading official information and creating consensus in society.
However, in the context of strong information technology and social networks, young people face a lot of misinformation and distorted arguments from hostile forces. This information can undermine the trust of a part of the population, especially young people, in the Party and the State.
Therefore, the Youth Union organization and each union member and youth need to constantly improve their political bravery, consolidate trust, and at the same time equip themselves with knowledge and skills to identify and refute false information, contributing to protecting the ideological foundation of the Party.
At the program, union members and youth were exchanged by lecturers from the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Council of Nghe An province and Nghe An Provincial Police on basic contents related to the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels.
In addition, delegates also shared skills to identify and refute false arguments in cyberspace, especially distorted information before the election.
In the exchange session, many union members and young people asked questions and shared their views on the responsibility of youth for socio-political issues.
Through the program, each union member and youth clearly defines their responsibility to participate in propaganda, spreading correct information, contributing to the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels taking place democratically, in accordance with the law, safely and successfully.
