The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section (Hanoi) was started at the end of 2022 with a length of about 21.7 km.
The starting point of the project is at km14 in Ba La district, Ha Dong district (now Yen Nghia ward); the ending point is km38, Xuan Mai town, Chuong My district (now Xuan Mai commune).
The project has a total investment of over 9,590 billion VND, implemented in the 2022-2027 period. When completed, the road will have a cross-section of 50-60m.
In Phu Nghia commune, the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section passing through the commune has a length of 7.8 km for site clearance. The total expected land recovery area is about 41.51ha/1,440 land plots of organizations, households and individuals using land.
Phu Nghia Commune People's Committee said that, implementing the direction of the Hanoi City Party Committee, the Party Committee and government of Phu Nghia commune have been and are continuing to focus drastically on implementing site clearance for the Project and are determined to complete it in June 2026 to create favorable conditions for investors and construction units to accelerate the progress of implementing project items and soon complete this key traffic route.

According to statistics, since the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year to date, 513 households and individuals with land within the land clearance area of the National Highway 6 renovation and upgrade project, Ba La - Xuan Mai section, have handed over the land.
In which, many households have voluntarily dismantled works and houses, moved assets on land to hand over the site. This is a work that shows the consensus and support of the people of Phu Nghia commune, contributing to accelerating the construction progress of this key project.


Along with continuing to propagate and mobilize households and individuals to hand over land, dismantle, and relocate works and assets on land, the Commune People's Committee together with the Hanoi Traffic Works Project Management Board are continuing to accelerate the progress of completing the compensation, support, and resettlement plan, organizing compensation payments to complete site clearance for the Project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, Ba La - Xuan Mai section through the commune according to the city's direction.
To soon overcome the situation of overload, degradation, causing traffic unsafety, and environmental pollution of National Highway 6 through the commune, Phu Nghia Commune People's Committee requests the investor and contractors to deploy construction for areas where people have handed over the site, ensuring smooth construction throughout National Highway 6 through the commune.
