According to the latest update from Forbes, the total assets of the 5 richest billionaires in Vietnam exceeded 49 billion USD.

According to Forbes updates (May 10, 2026), the assets of Vietnamese billionaires in the ranking of the richest people on the planet have increased, reflecting the positive developments of business and market values.

Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong's net worth - Chairman of Vingroup is currently estimated at 36.1 billion USD, an increase of about 400 million USD compared to the update on May 8. Notably, not only increasing in asset value, Mr. Vuong's ranking has also improved significantly, from 62nd to 59th in the world.

With this asset level, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong has now surpassed billionaire Jack Ma - the founder of Alibaba Group, who owns about 28.7 billion USD according to Forbes real-time data.

Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong's asset increase mainly came from the positive developments of VIC shares on the Vietnamese stock market. In the trading session on May 11, VIC stock maintained its green color, at times reaching about 256,300 VND/share (adjusted price), approaching the historical peak and attracting large cash flow.

The spread did not stop at VIC but expanded to stocks in the Vingroup ecosystem. VHM shares increased to a maximum amplitude of 167,400 VND/share, while VPL maintained positive trading around the above 91,900 VND/share range.

The "Vingroup" stock group, especially VIC and VHM, continued to play a pillar role, contributing to supporting VN-Index to maintain green color in the session. At the same time, Vingroup's capitalization continued to improve, consolidating its position in the group of largest enterprises in the market.

In the domestic market, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong still maintains the position of the richest person in Vietnam, with asset values fluctuating according to the developments of key stocks in the Vingroup ecosystem, and is also one of the billionaires with significant influence in Southeast Asia.

Following Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Vietjet Air with assets worth 4.2 billion USD. Currently, she ranks 1st in the world.

Ms. Pham Thu Huong - Vice President of Vingroup Group is holding assets of about 3.9 billion USD, ranking 1st in the list of global billionaires.

Next, Ms. Pham Thuy Hang - Vice President of Vingroup Group owns assets worth 2.8 billion USD. Ms. Hang is currently ranked 1st 531st in the world.

At the bottom of the list is Mr. Ho Hung Anh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Techcombank with assets of up to 2.4 billion USD, currently ranked 1,782nd in the world.
