Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong owns assets of 30.9 billion USD, an increase of 3.4 billion USD and ranks 76th in the world, number 1 in Southeast Asia.

The ranking of the richest people in the world updated by Forbes on April 16, 2026, records the asset fluctuations of many Southeast Asian billionaires. Among them, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong - Chairman of Vingroup - continues to be a prominent name when he both increased his assets sharply and held the highest position in the statistically ranked group.

Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong currently has 30.9 billion USD, an increase of 3.4 billion USD compared to before. With this asset, he ranks 76th in the world billionaire ranking. This is also the strongest increase among the 5 billionaires mentioned.

Not only leading in terms of asset size in the group, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong also created a significant gap in ranking compared to the remaining entrepreneurs in the region. The increase of billions of USD helps the Vietnamese billionaire continue to be a prominent face on the global asset map.

Behind Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong is Indonesian billionaire Prajogo Pangestu. According to Forbes, Mr. Prajogo Pangestu owns assets worth 26.7 billion USD, down 797 million USD compared to the previous period. Although his assets have decreased, he is still ranked 92nd in the world, belonging to the group of billionaires with high rankings in Southeast Asia.

Another representative of Indonesia, Low Tuck Kwong, recorded a more positive development. His assets increased by 182 million USD, to 18 billion USD, ranking 157th in the world. This is a rare case recording an increase in the group of Indonesian billionaires recorded this time.

Meanwhile, Mr. R. Budi Hartono currently has assets of 17.5 billion USD, down 520 million USD and ranked 161st in the world. This decrease reflects a significant adjustment in the asset value of some major entrepreneurs in the region.

Mr. Anthoni Salim is also in the group of billionaires whose assets have declined. Currently, he owns 12.1 billion USD, down 67 million USD and ranks 254th in the world.

In general, the list of world billionaires is clearly differentiated in the asset fluctuations of the Southeast Asian super-rich. Among the 5 billionaires mentioned, only 2 people increased their assets, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong and Mr. Low Tuck Kwong. The remaining three all recorded decreases, with different amplitudes.

Notably, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong is not only the richest person in the statistically ranked group, but also the person with the strongest asset increase. This result helps the Vietnamese billionaire continue to maintain his prominent position in Southeast Asia and in the global asset rankings.
