Sharing with Lao Dong, a representative of MM Super Market Thanh Xuan said that the price of Mid-Autumn cakes this year ranges from 69,000-86,000 VND/piece, depending on the filling type. "This year's Mid-Autumn cake price increased from 3,000-5,000 VND/piece, however, this increase is within the price range that can be adjusted" - this person said.
According to records, the price of cakes has slightly increased compared to last year. Ms. Nguyen Thi Cay (Minh Chau commune, Hanoi) shared that the mixed filling cake she usually buys last year cost 70,000 VND, this year it has increased to 75,000 VND/piece.
Representatives of MM Super Market Thanh Xuan informed that this year customers tend to buy Mid-Autumn cakes earlier to bring home for incense offerings. The full moon of July is also the Vu Lan filial piety month, some people look to buy cakes to burn incense and enjoy first.
