Leaders of Cho Lach commune said that the whole commune currently has more than 1.2 million pots of chrysanthemum mums serving the Tet market. However, due to unfavorable weather, about 30% of pots have bloomed early, putting great pressure on the consumption stage.
The fact that flowers do not bloom at the right time makes many households worried, because commercial value has decreased sharply. If not consumed in time, the main source of income for flower growers will be seriously affected.
According to Ms. Le Thi Hoang Oanh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Cho Lach commune, chrysanthemums are the main livelihood of local farmers, only one crop per year, so the risk of early blooming makes the lives of many households precarious.
Ms. Oanh believes that flowers are the result of many months of investment and care, if they cannot be sold, it will directly affect the ability to recover capital, re-produce and stabilize the lives of flower growers.
Supporting agricultural product consumption is not a matter of doing things for the people but is the responsibility of local leaders, especially when people encounter risks due to the weather" - Ms. Le Thi Hoang Oanh emphasized.

Identifying output support as a key task, Cho Lach commune has mobilized the entire political system to participate, proactively coordinating with functional sectors to find solutions to connect the market for farmers.
According to Mr. Pham Phuoc Ngai - Deputy Director of Vinh Long Department of Industry and Trade, the Industry and Trade sector has coordinated with localities, businesses and digital platforms to support the consumption of early blooming chrysanthemums.
Through the connection between Viettel Post and TikTok Vietnam, TikTokers and KOLs are invited to livestream selling flowers directly at the garden, helping products reach consumers nationwide.
Thanks to this sales method, in just over an hour of livestreaming, more than 1,800 chrysanthemum pots were consumed, contributing to reducing output pressure, helping flower growers gradually overcome difficulties.
Livestream not only helps immediate consumption but also opens up a long-term direction, suitable for the trend of digital transformation in agricultural product consumption today" - Mr. Pham Phuoc Ngai said.
