BIDV organizes the Final Round of the "Cultural Ambassador" Contest

On October 22, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) organized the Final Round of the BIDV Cultural Ambassador Contest 2024 to spread corporate culture.

Over 67 years of development, BIDV not only carries out its business tasks but also clearly recognizes the importance of corporate culture. In its Development Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2030, BIDV identifies “Human Resources and Corporate Culture” as one of the three pillars of development. The Bank has issued a Cultural Handbook with five core values: Intelligence, Trust, Integrity, Professionalism, and Aspiration, expressed through the phrase “iBIDV”.

In April 2024, BIDV launched the "BIDV Cultural Ambassador" contest with the aim of promoting the movement of learning and spreading corporate culture. Mr. Tran Xuan Hoang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors of BIDV - said that spreading BIDV culture does not stop at the internal scope but also extends to the community, customers and partners. BIDV Cultural Ambassadors will be a bridge to inspire BIDV staff to imbue culture in every thought and action.

“The dissemination of BIDV culture does not stop at the internal scope, but also extends to the community, customers and partners, so that when mentioning BIDV, everyone thinks of a bank that is not only strong and prestigious but also humane, responsible and dedicated to customers. BIDV Cultural Ambassadors will play an important role in continuing to preserve and promote BIDV's good cultural values, serving as a bridge to inspire each BIDV officer to imbue every thought and action, overcome all challenges and achieve new achievements, contributing to building BIDV increasingly strong and sustainable development, longevity" - Mr. Tran Xuan Hoang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors of BIDV, Deputy Head of the Competition Steering Committee - said.

The contest attracted nearly 22,000 staff to participate, with 857 excellent candidates from 189 branches and 44 Headquarters units competing in 9 regions. The Organizing Committee selected 80 excellent candidates for the Final Round. The contest consisted of three parts: Introduction, Knowledge, and Behavior, comprehensively assessing the candidates' abilities. As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to excellent candidates and announced 6 BIDV Cultural Ambassadors.

The contest is an important milestone in BIDV's journey to foster its culture, creating a foundation for sustainable development. BIDV aims for Vision 2030, becoming the leading financial institution in Southeast Asia with the best digital platform in Vietnam.

On April 26, 1957, Decree No. 177/TTg established the Vietnam Construction Bank, the predecessor of BIDV. After 67 years of development, BIDV has actively contributed to the cause of national construction and development. Currently, BIDV is the largest commercial bank in Vietnam with total assets of over 2.5 million billion VND.

Recently, storm No. 3 caused great damage in many provinces and cities in the North. BIDV has proactively supported customers by cutting interest rates by up to 2%/year, with a total scale of 100,000 billion VND. The bank also actively supported people affected by the storm with a total value of over 120 billion VND and awarded branches with high-achieving candidates a total of 11.5 billion VND for social security activities.
