Techcombank increased interest rates
As noted by Labor on August 13, Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) issued a new interest rate schedule, increasing by 0.2 percentage points for terms of 1-3 months.
Techcombank's online deposit interest rate schedule is currently listed as follows:
Interest rates for 1-3 month terms increased by 0.2 percentage points, to 3.05-3.25%/year.
Interest rates for 3-5 month terms are at 3.25-3.45%/year.
Interest rates for 6-11 month terms are at 4.25-4.35%/year.
Interest rates for terms greater than 12 months are at 4.95-5.05%/year.
Techcombank's over-the-counter savings deposit interest rate table also recorded similar changes, currently listed as follows:
Interest rates for 1-3 month terms are at 2.95-3.15%/year.
Interest rates for 3-5 month terms are at 3.15-3.35%/year.
Interest rates for 6-11 month terms are at 4.15-4.25%/year.
Interest rates for terms greater than 12 months are at 4.85-4.95%/year.
As of August 13, the market recorded 12 banks increasing savings interest rates including: Eximbank, ACB, Agribank, Sacombank, Saigonbank, VietBank, TPBank, CBBank, VIB, Dong A Bank, VPBank, Techcombank.
On the contrary, the savings interest rate market in August also recorded two banks reducing savings interest rates, SeABank. ABBank's listing decreased by 0.1-0.3 percentage points in most terms; SeABank also listed a 0.25 percentage point reduction in interest rates for all terms.
