In order to ensure the supply of biofuel gasoline according to the roadmap for applying biofuels nationwide, on June 8, 2026, the Domestic Market Management and Development Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) issued Document No. 1781 to key gasoline and oil trading traders and gasoline and oil distribution traders requesting them to proactively source goods and maintain continuous supply activities to the market.
On November 7, 2025, the Minister of Industry and Trade issued Circular No. 50 stipulating the roadmap for applying the blending ratio of biofuels with traditional fuels.
Accordingly, from June 1, 2026, unleaded gasoline according to current national standards must be blended and mixed into E10 gasoline for use in gasoline engines nationwide; and continue to blend and mix E5RON92 gasoline for use in gasoline engines until December 31, 2030.
To effectively implement this roadmap, the Domestic Market Management and Development Authority requests key petroleum traders and petroleum distribution traders to strictly implement regulations on blending and supplying biofuel, ensuring goods sources to serve consumption and production needs.
The Department requests businesses to absolutely not interrupt the supply of bio-gasoline throughout the business system, from key traders, distributors to gasoline and oil retail stores. In all situations, units must ensure the full supply of bio-gasoline to retail stores under the distribution system to maintain regular and continuous sales operations.
In addition, businesses need to proactively share supply sources, share profits in the distribution system in a reasonable way to ensure that the supply of biofuel to the market is not interrupted; and at the same time arrange sufficient personnel, organize duty or overtime when necessary to maintain stable sales operations, meeting the needs of people and businesses.
The Domestic Market Management and Development Authority also requests key traders and petroleum distribution traders to closely monitor the developments of biofuel consumption in the market. In case difficulties and obstacles arise during the implementation process, units need to promptly report to the Authority for consideration and handling.
For key gasoline and oil trading traders and gasoline and oil distribution traders who have not reported or reported incomplete lists of gasoline and oil retail stores belonging to the distribution system to update on the "Around Me" application, the Department requests to urgently complete and send reports before June 12, 2026.
Ensuring the supply of bio-gasoline not only contributes to the effective implementation of the energy transition roadmap according to the regulations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade but also meets the consumption needs of people, ensuring stable and continuous production and business activities nationwide.
