Mr. Tran Dinh Phat (Ha Dong ward, Hanoi) said that he was quite surprised when experiencing E10 gasoline on his SH 125i in 2021.
I see many people are still worried, but in fact the car operates quite well, even feels more fuel-efficient than RON 95 gasoline. My car has not intervened, changed or replaced the manufacturer's default software on the ECU, but the fuel consumption is quite good" - Mr. Phat shared.
Sharing the same feeling, Ms. Bui Thu Linh (Xuan Phuong ward, Hanoi), she returned to Petrolimex Petrol Station No. 14 for the second time to fill up with E10 gasoline. According to her, the selling price of E10 gasoline is lower than RON 95-V gasoline, so it partly helps save daily living costs.
I think any change needs time for people to experience and evaluate. If E10 gasoline is both economical and contributes to environmental protection, it will definitely be supported" - Ms. Linh said.
Not only general consumers, but also many drivers and people knowledgeable about automotive technology also positively evaluate this new fuel.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh (Nghia Do ward, Hanoi) regularly monitors engine parameters and finds that E10 bio-gasoline provides better anti-detonation ability compared to previous gasoline lines, and the vehicle's operating parameters are more stable and "clean".
Mr. Tuan Anh said that with original car lines, when newly switching to using E10 gasoline, the carburetor ratio (AFR) may slightly differ in the early stages. However, after a few tens of kilometers of operation, the engine control system (DME) will automatically adjust to adapt. According to actual assessment, fuel consumption may increase by about 3% because the engine must compensate for the carburetor ratio suitable for ethanol blended fuel. However, the operation process almost does not cause significant problems.
E10 gasoline has now been supplemented with anti-fuel layer separation additives. Thanks to better anti-detonation capability, the engine also reduces the phenomenon of reduced ignition time, helping the car operate smoother in the middle acceleration range and rear accelerator compared to regular mineral gasoline" - Mr. Tuan Anh shared.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Ninh - an employee of Petrolimex Petroleum Store No. 14 - said that in the early days of conversion, many customers were still wondering whether changing the type of gasoline would affect the engine. She often explained to customers that this is still gasoline for conventional engines, only different in that it is mixed with 10% more bioethanol.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Anh - Store Manager of Petrolimex Petroleum Store No. 14 - shared: "Many customers using high-end car lines also come to fill up with E10 gasoline and respond positively. Some car owners informed that the fuel tank cap of the car clearly states that E5 and E10 gasoline can be used, so they are quite reassured when experiencing the new gasoline line.
