The average GRDP growth rate in the period of 2020-2024 reached about 6.8%/year, in 2024 reached 8.96%, the highest level in the past 10 years.

The scale of GRDP at current prices in 2020 is about 57 trillion VND, in 2023 is about 66.8 trillion VND, in 2024 it is estimated to reach 72.5 trillion VND.
GRDP per capita in 2024 will reach about 81 million VND/person. State budget revenue in 2020 will reach VND 5,050 billion, in 2024 will reach VND 7,560 billion.
Total investment capital for total social development in the period of 2020-2024 will reach 85,000 billion VND, an average of more than 17,000 billion VND/year, focusing on transport infrastructure, urban areas, industrial parks and new rural areas.

According to the Project to merge 3 provinces: Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Hoa Binh, the new Phu Tho province will be established on the basis of merging the entire natural area, population size and commune-level administrative unit system of the 3 provinces.
After the merger, Phu Tho province has an area of over 9,400 km2, with a population of about 3.6 million people. The provincial administrative - political center is located in the current city of Viet Tri.
Regarding the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, Phu Tho province plans to reduce 141 units to 66 communes and wards; Vinh Phuc province has 85 units to 36 communes and wards; Hoa Binh province plans to reduce 105 units to 46 communes and wards.
Thus, after the arrangement of commune-level administrative units and the merger of 3 provinces: Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc and Hoa Binh, the new Phu Tho province is expected to have a total of 148 communes and wards.
