In 2026, 100% of shrimp farming households in the shrimp - rice area will be granted Certificates of Registration for farming key aquatic products (Hoa Tu, Gia Hoa, Ngoc To, Nhu Gia, Luong Tam and Vinh Vien localities).
Building 3 models to support the development of shrimp and rice production in Luong Tam, Ngoc To and Hoa Tu communes to make a model point and then replicate them.

Rotating farming methods are applied flexibly, suitable to the conditions of each locality, including 1 crop of black tiger shrimp - 1 crop of rice/year or 2 crops of white leg shrimp - 1 crop of rice.
100% of key aquaculture households in Can Tho City (tiger shrimp, whiteleg shrimp, pangasius) are issued Certificates of Registration for farming key aquaculture products.
Attracting investment, synchronous infrastructure
With specific goals as above, Can Tho City People's Committee focuses on many key contents and solutions. Accordingly, shrimp - rice farming areas are developed in localities: Ngoc To, Hoa Tu, Nhu Gia, Gia Hoa, Vinh Vien and Luong Tam communes.

Can Tho also encourages businesses to increase investment, develop forms of cooperation and linkage in production and consumption of shrimp - rice products, build international standards for farming areas according to the requirements of importers such as ASC, Global GAP, organic shrimp standards... to improve the value of the shrimp and rice model.
Promoting the linkage of the rice value chain, connecting farmers - cooperatives - businesses in production and consumption, forming a closed production chain, ensuring harmony of interests of all parties.
