Initial information, the fire occurred at about 12 pm on April 14 at an apartment building located at No. 2 Vuong Thua Vu street (Khuong Dinh ward, Hanoi).
Ms. Khanh Linh (working at Toyota Truong Chinh building) said that after hearing the shouts of fire, she ran upstairs and saw an apartment in the opposite apartment building on fire.
Smoke and fire engulfed the apartment. The heat of the fire broke the apartment windows. Many people living in the apartment quickly moved down to the lobby to ensure safety" - Ms. Linh said.
Immediately after receiving the news, force 114 mobilized units in area 13, area 9, area 10, in which ladder trucks were mobilized to promptly respond to situations.
At the scene, forces quickly approached, deployed to organize firefighting and search, inspected the area suspected of being trapped.
After a period of urgent handling, the fire was completely extinguished.
Functional forces continued to deploy smoke escape work, inspect the scene and initially determined that there were no casualties; property damage is being statistically determined.
The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified.
