Phu Tho - On September 16, the Provincial Police announced the successful rescue of 3 people trapped in Rut cave due to rising water after heavy rain.

Previously, at about 9 am on September 14, Mr. Ha Cong Tu (born 1986), Mr. Quach Cong Quyet and Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (born 1982) went into the Dong Tien valley area, Dung Tien commune, Phu Tho province. After that, all 3 continued to Rút cave to visit and have fun.

Due to prolonged heavy rain, water from outside poured into the cave entrance more and more, causing the exit to be flooded. The terrain inside was complex, the original cave entrance was narrow, just enough for one person to move. Three people could not get out on their own and were trapped.

At about 9 am on September 16, the family discovered that all 3 had not returned, so they organized a search and reported to the local authorities.

Upon receiving information, Dung Tien Commune People's Committee directed the Commune Police to deploy search and rescue. The Commune Police mobilized all troops, coordinated forces to participate in protecting security and order at the grassroots level and people who understand the terrain to approach the cave.

At the scene, functional forces surveyed the terrain, identified the location of trapped people and assessed the water level.

In heavy rain conditions, the water in the cave rose high, the path was narrow, and access was carried out cautiously.

After determining the location of the 3 people, the Dung Tien Commune Police force took them out of the cave one by one.

At about 11 am on September 16, all 3 people were rescued safely. After that, they were checked and taken care of their health. Currently, the health condition of all 3 is basically stable.
