On January 30, Da Nang Port announced that it had just welcomed the first shipment of the new year, marking an exciting start. Two container ships, Meratus JimBaRan of Saigon Ship Da Nang and WanHai 283 of WanHai Da Nang, docked at the port to load cargo on New Year's Eve, and the port operated continuously and non-stop during the first days of the new year.
In 2024, Da Nang Port achieved many outstanding successes, excellently completing the set targets. Cargo output reached 107% of the plan, an increase of 15% compared to 2023, of which container cargo increased by 13%. Revenue and profit exceeded 108% and 103% of the plan, respectively, growing by 15% and 9% compared to the previous year. The port has maintained stable lives and jobs for workers, creating a solid foundation for sustainable development.
With the theme "Focusing resources to expand and develop the seaport and logistics system", Da Nang Port has stepped up investment in the logistics network, applied digital technology and automation, aiming to become a smart and modern port. The port has implemented a diversified logistics development strategy, providing comprehensive services to customers, and at the same time preparing for the Lien Chieu Port project, starting the construction of the Logistics Center at ICD Hoa Vang, building an ICD integrating bonded warehouses, customs, domestic warehouses, distribution warehouses, e-commerce warehouses, container yards, anticipating the development trend of economic corridors.
In 2025, Da Nang Port continues to set the goal of "Focusing resources to expand and develop the seaport and logistics system", focusing on the application of science and technology, information technology, and innovation. Mr. Tran Le Tuan, General Director of Da Nang Port, affirmed that the port will continue to expand, affirming its position in the maritime industry through digitalization, optimizing production processes, enhancing competitiveness, especially the application of Eport so that customers can do procedures right at home.
