The Ministry of Finance affirmed that this is a fake Facebook of the Ministry of Finance, people and businesses need to be highly vigilant against these posts on Facebook.
According to the reflection, the Facebook page named "Ministry of Finance - Ho So Reception Portal" uses the image and information of the Ministry of Finance, and has been verified by Facebook (with green records). This page claimed to represent the Ministry of Finance, providing information that it could help "recovering money" for victims of online scams. This page requires people to text to provide personal information, transfer invoices and transfer a " fee" or "processing cost" to receive the lost amount.
The Ministry of Finance affirmed that the Facebook page "Ministry of Finance - Ho So Reception Portal" (or similar pages) is a fake of the Ministry of Finance. The Ministry of Finance recommends that people and businesses be highly vigilant and do not follow the instructions from the information and posts posted on the above Facebook page to avoid being scammed by bad guys. At the same time, when detecting signs of fraud, it is necessary to report it to the authorities to avoid unfortunate damage.
People and businesses need to be vigilant against impersonating and taking advantage of the names of the Ministry of Finance and the leaders of the Ministry of Finance to defraud people for personal gain. People and businesses are advised to be cautious in money transfer transactions for fake websites; fanpages and strangers in cyberspace.

On March 31, 2025, the Ministry of Finance warned about a Facebook page called "Receiving the Process of Recovering and hoan tra von Treo" using images and information of the Ministry of Finance, claiming to be the representative of the Ministry of Finance to "recovering money" for victims of online fraud.
Immediately afterwards, on April 15, 2025, the Ministry of Finance issued a warning to people and businesses about forging documents taking advantage of the name of the Ministry of Finance to defraud and "recovering money" for victims of online fraud.
On May 30, 2025, the Ministry of Finance continued to issue notices about forging documents of the Ministry of Finance, forging seals of signatures of leaders of the Ministry of Finance, leaders of units under the Ministry of Finance, forging websites and Fanpages of the Ministry of Finance to require people to transfer money to scammers through these fake websites and Fanpages.
On July 4, 2025, the Ministry of Finance continued to issue warnings to people and businesses about impersonating the Ministry of Finance's Electronic Information Portal to provide false information to commit fraud.
Currently, the Ministry of Finance uses only the Electronic Information Portal (domain name: https://www.mof.gov.vn) to provide information on the operations of the Finance sector to people and businesses.
