Warning about fake Facebook page of the Ministry of Finance

Recently, the Ministry of Finance received information reflecting that a Facebook page named "Receiving the Process of Recovering and hoan tra von Treo" used images and information of the Ministry of Finance, claiming to be the representative of the Ministry of Finance to "recovering money" for victims of online fraud. The Ministry of Finance affirmed that this is a fake Facebook, people and businesses need to be highly vigilant against these posts on Facebook.

According to the reflection, the Facebook page named "Receiving Treo Capital Recovering and Payment Processing" uses the image and information of the Ministry of Finance, and has been verified by Facebook (with blue documents). The content of the posts and comments on the page has many suspicious signs.

This page claimed to represent the Ministry of Finance, providing information that it could help "recovering money" for victims of online scams; asking people to text to provide personal information and transfer a "fees" or "processing costs" to receive the lost money. However, after receiving the money, this page did not perform any support operations or contact to resolve the issue.

The Ministry of Finance affirmed that the Facebook page "Receiving Capital Reversal and Payment Processing of Treo" (or similar) is a fake of the Ministry of Finance. People and businesses need to be highly vigilant and do not follow the instructions from the information and posts posted on the above Facebook page. At the same time, when detecting signs of fraud, it is necessary to report it to the authorities to avoid unfortunate damage.
