On May 23, according to PV's source, Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee recently issued a Plan to implement the Vietnam Logistics Service Development Strategy for the period 2026-2030 in the province, aiming to improve service supply capacity, reduce logistics costs and promote border gate economic development.
According to the set target, by 2030, Cao Bang strives to have 60-70% of logistics enterprises applying information technology in management and operation; about 50% of workers in the logistics sector are basically trained.
Logistics infrastructure will be invested synchronously, associated with the border gate system, industrial parks and border trade.
To achieve this goal, the province will focus on reviewing and perfecting mechanisms and policies; promoting administrative procedure reform, attracting socialized resources to invest in logistics infrastructure.
Cao Bang prioritizes the development of warehouses, cold storages, and goods transit points; upgrading infrastructure in the border gate area and connecting with the road transport network.
At the same time, the province strengthens links with the Northern Midlands and Mountains provinces, cooperates with southern Chinese localities, especially Guangxi, to remove difficulties for import and export activities.
In addition, the province focuses on developing logistics human resources through training classes and workshops on transportation, delivery, border trade and information technology applications for businesses and workers.
The plan also focuses on digital transformation and green logistics. Businesses are encouraged to apply digital platforms in transport management, warehousing, and traceability of goods; and at the same time promote document digitization, customs procedures modernization, and the use of energy-saving and emission-reducing vehicles.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to be the focal agency for implementing the plan, coordinating with departments, branches and localities to organize implementation according to a specific roadmap.
The issuance of the plan is expected to help Cao Bang effectively exploit the border gate advantages, improve competitiveness and promote local economic development in the process of regional and international integration.
