On May 17, according to PV's source, the Standing Committee of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee agreed on the policy of converting the development model of De Tham area from an industrial park to an industrial cluster.
At the same time, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee also agreed to supplement the planning in the direction of forming 2 industrial clusters including De Tham 1 and De Tham 2.
Thus, in addition to the Chu Trinh Industrial Park under construction, Cao Bang is expected to have 2 new industrial clusters in the near future.
Accordingly, the plan is built to ensure compliance with practical conditions, the orientation of central urban development of the province and feasibility in the implementation process.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee assigned the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to direct specialized agencies to urgently complete the planning of 2 industrial clusters; review and select industries to attract investment suitable for raw material areas and local advantages.
In the development orientation, Cao Bang province prioritizes attracting clean industries, green industries, processing and manufacturing, supporting industries, logistics and high-tech application; and does not accept projects that pose a risk of pollution and waste of resources.
Environmental protection requirements are also emphasized right from the planning stage to ensure that it does not affect the lives of people in neighboring areas, improve land use efficiency and create stable jobs for local workers.
The province also emphasized the selection of capable and experienced investors to synchronously deploy technical infrastructure in accordance with the plan, avoiding the situation of project delays causing waste of land and resources.
Previously, in February 2026, Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee worked with BMK Group to exchange cooperation opportunities for infrastructure investment in industrial parks and clusters. The enterprise plans to conduct field surveys and develop specific plans to submit to the province in the near future.
Currently, despite having great mineral potential and border gate advantages, Cao Bang still lacks large-scale deep processing zones.
The locality expects the development of synchronous industrial infrastructure to create new growth momentum, create more jobs and limit the situation where local workers have to go to work far away.
