On November 20, according to the reporter's investigation, the Anti-smuggling Investigation Department ( Customs Department) has just announced a plan to auction 9 used specialized watercraft, including investigative ships and boats, with a total starting price of more than 4.7 billion VND.
The entire auction process was conducted online on November 21 through the No. 5 - National Joint Stock Auction Company.
According to the announcement, the group of assets sold includes 5 ships and 4 investigation boats, of many different types. The ships have starting prices from 757.35 to 935 million VND/ship, mainly oil tankers and patrol and control ships built according to the specialized design of the customs force.
The four investigative boats have a lower starting price, from 35.7 million VND, suitable for patrolling on rivers, coastal areas or converted for civil purposes.
All assets are sold according to the status quo, the auction winner will bear the costs related to dismantling, transportation as well as arising taxes and fees.
The auctions will be divided into time frames for participants to conveniently follow. From 8:30 to 11:30, the above assets will be auctioned in turn.
The deposit ranges from 7 million to 187 million VND depending on the value of each vehicle.
People in need can directly see the current status of vehicles during office hours in two areas: Lot 16 Ho Han Thuong, Son Tra District, Da Nang City for assets TS01, TS03, TS02; No. 29 Mai Thuc Loan, Rach Dua Ward, Ho Chi Minh City for the remaining vehicles.
