The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued an official dispatch on coordinating the implementation of related procedures to serve the adjustment of the investment policy of the Gia Binh International Airport Project.
Official dispatch sent to the Departments of Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Finance and Gia Binh District People's Committee.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province received a document dated March 5, 2025 from the Mobile Police Command on coordinating the implementation of related procedures to serve the adjustment of the investment policy for the Gia Binh International Airport Project.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province assigned the People's Committee of Gia Binh district to urgently review and provide legal documents and detailed data for the cost of "compensation, support, resettlement, technical infrastructure return, site clearance" of 408.5 hectares and the cost of related consulting packages to have a basis to update the adjusted Pre-Feasibility Study Report; send the documents to the Mobile Police Command and the Provincial People's Committee before March 15, 2025.
Closely coordinate with the Mobile Police Command and consulting contractors to conduct acceptance and settlement of consulting costs in the investment preparation phase of the Project to ensure compliance with current legal regulations.
Assign the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over, the Departments of Construction, Finance and related agencies and units, according to their functions and tasks, coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and relevant ministries and branches to speed up procedures for planning for safe land use in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 in Bac Ninh province to implement Gia Binh International Airport for about 408.5 hectares.
At the same time, review and plan land funds around the airport area to ensure goals and orientations for long-term expansion and development when demand increases.
Previously, the Ministry of Transport approved the adjustment of the Master Plan for the development of the national airport system for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.
Accordingly, Gia Binh International Airport has a scale of level 4E, located in Bac Ninh province with an expected land area of about 363.5 hectares.
By 2030, the designed capacity is expected to be about 1 million passengers/year and about 3 million passengers/year with a vision to 2050.
The estimated investment cost of Gia Binh International Airport according to the planning is about 17,682 billion VND for the period 2021-2030; about 12,083 billion VND for vision to 2050.
