On August 25, the People's Committee of Dai Mo Ward, Hanoi City organized the online communication program "Phung Khoang Market - Civilized in business, modern in payment".
The event aims to promote a transparent commercial culture, while spreading convenient and safe digital payment solutions, contributing to building a new modern and civilized face for traditional people's markets.
Mr. Pham Van Khang - Head of the Culture and Social Department of Dai Mo ward - said that non-cash payments have been implemented at business households in the area.
Business households at the market have applied technology to sell goods, including livestreaming. This contributes to expanding customer access methods, thereby supporting the revenue of business households as well as business activities at Phung Khoang market and in the ward" - Mr. Khang said and said that QR code payment helps buyers not have to bring a lot of cash, and is also more convenient in checking transactions. For business households, transfer transactions are saved, creating convenience when needed for comparison.
According to Mr. Khang, in addition to promoting digital transformation, business households at Phung Khoang market are required to list prices, publicize goods information, maintain hygiene of stalls and communicate civilizedly with customers.
Ms. Bui Thi Tam - owner of a women's clothing business household at Phung Khoang market - said that previously, customers mainly paid in cash. When buying many products, some customers did not want to bring much money, so transferring via QR code was more convenient.
Since having the QR code, not only customers but also myself feel that payment is more convenient and checking transactions is also easier" - Ms. Tam said.
In addition to promoting digital transformation, digital payments, and business methods, business households at Phung Khoang market aim to list prices, keep stalls neat, communicate friendly with customers and provide information about the origin of goods when necessary.
Sharing at the program, a representative of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) said that the unit has coordinated with the People's Committee of Dai Mo ward and the Phung Khoang Market Management Board to guide business households to use QR codes and perform safety assurance operations when transacting.
Sellers are recommended to directly check balance change notifications or transaction history before delivery, instead of just relying on a screenshot of the transfer. Buyers also need to check the recipient's name and amount of money before confirming the transaction.
