On June 24, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province issued a response regarding the article "A series of vegetable powder products in Nha Trang violated labeling, lacked safety warning information" that Lao Dong previously reported.
In April 2025, the Department's interdisciplinary inspection team conducted surprise inspections at a number of agricultural, forestry and fishery production and trading establishments in the province, including Goganic Company Limited - the unit that produces and distributes vegetable and fish flour products.
The leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province said that the surprise inspection was conducted on the basis of recording incidents or signs of violations.
However, at the time of inspection, Goganic Company Limited had issued a document notifying the temporary suspension of operations to repair the facility, which was confirmed by the competent authority.
However, the inspection team still recorded that the facility still had a total of 252 packages of various products such as perilla flour, amaranth, pumpkin, pennywort, etc.
Through inspection, all of these products did not have enough mandatory content on the goods' labels, specifically lacking information about weight and safety warnings according to the law.
One of the main public concerns is the quality of the vegetable flour package that Goganic Company Limited sells to the market.
The inspection agency has not been able to take samples for analysis because the amount of inventory is too small, not meeting the minimum conditions to send for testing.
Notably, according to the provided documents, Goganic Company Limited did not directly produce but signed a processing contract with Mady Food & Farm Company Limited (address in Don Duong district, Lam Dong province).
The actual quality inspection at the production facility requires the inspection agency in Khanh Hoa to have a written request to coordinate with the specialized agency in Lam Dong.
However, up to now, the inspection coordination has not been implemented.
The representative of the Department Inspectorate admitted that this was a shortcoming in the process of performing the task.
Brand of products lacking "weight" content, "safe warning"
According to information from the authorities, Goganic Company Limited was granted a Certificate of Business Registration by the Department of Planning and Investment of Khanh Hoa province (now the Department of Finance) in 2025. The legal representative of Goganic Company Limited is Ms. Phan Thi Khanh Ngoc.
Goganic Company Limited operates in the field of packaged food trading, according to regulations, and is not subject to the issuance of a Certificate of food safety eligibility.
Through a surprise inspection, the authorities discovered that these products did not have enough mandatory information on the goods' labels, specifically lacking the content of "weight" and "safe warning" according to regulations.
For the above violation, Goganic Company Limited was fined VND750,000 for administrative violations in the field of standards, measurements and product and goods quality.
