In September 2026, the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa province issued a document responding to people's reflections on a store in Nha Trang selling Nike shoes showing signs of brand forgery.
Previously, Ms. L.T.T reflected on buying Nike and Adidas shoes at Sport Market store (3 Tran Quang Khai, Nha Trang ward) but later discovered that the products were not genuine.
According to Ms. T, through advertisements from famous bloggers and KOLs in Nha Trang, she trusted the store to buy 2 pairs of shoes, including 1 pair of Nike and 1 pair of Adidas, with a total amount of 1.3 million VND to send to her boyfriend in Russia.
Ms. T said that when selling goods, the store affirmed that this is genuine (original) product.
After that, 2 pairs of shoes were sent to Russia for her boyfriend. Here, a professional checked and confirmed that the products were fake (fake/replica), not genuine products of Nike and Adidas.
When contacting back to complain, Ms. T said that the store refused to resolve the matter, and gave the reason that there was no invoice to not receive the goods back and refund the money.
In a document responding to citizens, Mr. Tran Quoc Sanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa province - said that through verifying information, Market Management Team No. 1 discovered that Sport Market business households are trading shoes bearing Nike and Adidas brands with signs of counterfeiting trademarks being protected in Vietnam.
Based on the verification results, Market Management Team No. 1 conducted an inspection and fined Sport Market business household for the act of trading in counterfeit trademarks.
Accordingly, this business household was fined 50 million VND, and at the same time forced to destroy 180 pairs of fake Nike and Adidas brand shoes according to the provisions of law.
