According to initial information from functional agencies, at about 12 noon on August 29, when the students were taking a nap, the teachers went outside to eat rice.
Camera footage shows that a boy woke up and used his hand to scratch a girl lying next to him.
After the incident, the baby girl suffered many scratches on her body, in positions such as her hands, face, back and chest.
Immediately after that, the girl's family expressed their anger on social networks. Family members said that the teacher had not fulfilled her responsibilities, lacked supervision, leading to the incident.Vice Chairman of Nha Trang Ward People's Committee Huynh Quang Tu said that in the process of working with functional agencies, the school identified shortcomings in management, leading to the unfortunate incident.
On the family side, the child's parents who are currently abroad also agreed to remove the images and information posted on social networks. At the same time, the child's parents requested the school to draw deep lessons and avoid similar cases from happening.
Mr. Huynh Quang Tu added that after the working session, the locality will comprehensively assess the developments related to the incident.
The shortcomings and related responsibilities will also be considered by the functional agencies of Nha Trang ward.
It is expected that after the holidays, the functional agencies of Nha Trang ward will consider and handle the shortcomings of the school.
The Nha Trang ward government's point of view is to handle the case reasonably and logically, and at the same time consider this a lesson in management for schools in the ward.
