On May 30, at the Da Nang Department of adventure and Angel Investment Forum 2025 - "Danang Venture and Angel Summit 2025" (DAVAS 2025), Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, emphasized the importance of DAVAS 2025 in positioning Da Nang as an attractive destination for investors and innovative startups. Ms. Thi affirmed the city's commitment to building a strong startup ecosystem, through the issuance of specific, outstanding and unprecedented support policies.
Over the years, Da Nang city has continuously strived to develop an innovative startup ecosystem. The city has issued many specific, outstanding, breakthrough and unprecedented policies such as: policies on testing with control of new technology solutions; tax exemptions for innovative startups, activities to support innovative startups; support for the use of scientific and technological infrastructure assets; non-refundable support from the state budget to develop innovative startup projects; support for information infrastructure assets to develop semiconductor microchips and artificial intelligence...", said Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi.
In addition to the above outstanding policies, Da Nang has also been recognized as an innovative startup attractive city honored by the Vietnam Information Technology and Software Services Association - Vinasa in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
At the forum, Ms. Thi also shared about the future vision of Da Nang after the merger with Quang Nam, with a significant increase in population size and area. This merger is expected to bring Da Nang to a new height, becoming one of the major socio-economic centers of the country and Southeast Asia, playing the role of a center for startups and innovation according to Resolution 43 of the Politburo.
DAVAS 2025 attracted more than 20 domestic and foreign investment funds, along with about 40 projects and startups participating in calling for capital. The forum is expected to create a bridge between investors, investment funds, experts and startups, promoting the strong development of the startup ecosystem in Da Nang. The city government is committed to accompanying businesses, placing businesses at the center of the innovative startup ecosystem.
