Thanks to the negotiation and signing of a number of large-value contracts, it is expected that in October 2024, a number of industries will achieve impressive growth rates compared to the same period, such as: production of rubber and plastic products (up 40.21%); production of prefabricated metal products (up 45.75%); production of means of transport, specifically the shipbuilding industry (up 74.22%).
In the first 10 months of 2024, the IIP index increased by 5.99% over the same period in 2023. In particular, the index of the processing and manufacturing industry group in recent months has shown quite positive signs of recovery, achieving a higher growth rate than the index of the whole industry (up 6.13%).

In recent times, Da Nang City has made efforts to implement many solutions to boost exports; remove difficulties for production and business, promptly resolve problems to support businesses, contributing to promoting local economic growth.
Thanks to that, the import and export situation in the city in the first 10 months of 2024 had positive changes and achieved many positive results.
It is estimated that in October 2024, the total two-way import and export turnover of goods will reach 264 million USD, down 0.4% compared to the previous month and up 7.4% compared to the same period in 2023.
Of which, exports are estimated at 153 million USD, down 2.3% over the previous month and up 5.0% over the same period in 2023; imports are estimated at 111 million USD, up 2.3% over the previous month and up 10.9% over the same period last year.
In the first 10 months of 2024, the total import and export turnover of goods is estimated at 2,695 million USD, an increase of 9.5% over the same period in 2023.
Of which, goods exports are estimated at 1,585 million USD, up 3.6%; goods imports are estimated at 1,109 million USD, up 19.1%. The trade balance of goods in the first 10 months of 2024 continues to maintain a trade surplus of 476 million USD.
In October 2024, business operations also recorded many positive signals with 347 enterprises, branches and representative offices newly granted registration certificates with a total registered charter capital of VND 1,176 billion.
Accumulated in the first 10 months of 2024 (up to October 25, 2024), Da Nang has newly issued business registration certificates to 3,372 enterprises, branches and representative offices, with a total registered charter capital of VND 11,344 billion.
The number of enterprises returning to operation increased by 1.2% over the same period in 2023 (equivalent to 1,551 enterprises and affiliated units compared to 1,533 enterprises and affiliated units in the same period in 2023).
