On April 6, the Da Nang City Statistics Office said that from the beginning of the year to mid-March, Da Nang has issued investment certificates for 6 new projects with a total registered capital of VND 10,350 billion, a sharp increase compared to the same period in 2024. Specifically, there are 4 projects located outside industrial parks (IPs) with a total registered capital of VND 4,056 billion (in the same period last year, there was only 1 project with VND 1,168 billion). The remaining two projects are located in industrial parks and high-tech parks (HTCs) with a total registered capital of VND 6,294 billion.
In addition, Da Nang has attracted 32.3 million USD FDI capital, up 21.4% over the same period last year. In particular, it is worth noting that two projects in the industrial park with a total registered capital of 18 million USD. 5 projects have increased/decreased with a total capital of 13.0 million USD (in the same period in 2024, there were 5 projects with a total increase of 4.2 million USD). In order to promote FDI, Da Nang organized the "Da Nang Investment Forum in 2025" in Singapore. The forum focuses on introducing potentials and opportunities to invest in key projects such as international financial centers, free trade areas and Lien Chieu International Ports. From there, it is possible to attract investment and contribute to making Da Nang a commercial, service and international technology center.
Earlier in the end of March, the People's Committee of Da Nang City canceled the investment policy of Hoa Cam Industrial Zone Project Phase 1 - an extension of 13.1ha. One of the reasons given is that the previous decision issued has not guaranteed the authority, procedure order, and is not consistent with the overall planning of industrial zones development in the area.
This shows that Da Nang is making efforts to complete the legal framework and planning, ensuring transparency and sustainability for investment activities in the area. The People's Committee of Da Nang City has also requested Hoa Cam Industrial Park Investment Joint Stock Company to complete related legal procedures after having a decision to withdraw and assign relevant departments and branches to carry out the next work in accordance with regulations.
