On May 5, the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies (NA Deputies) of Da Nang City had a meeting with voters after the first session of the 16th National Assembly. Here, Da Nang City Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang informed about the results of definitively handling "suspended" projects to create development resources.
Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Ngoc Quang said that according to Conclusion 77 of the Politburo and Resolution 170 of the National Assembly, the city is drastically removing difficulties for these project groups.
Currently, Da Nang has reviewed and handled legal and administrative procedures for more than 1,900 projects out of a total of more than 2,000 backlog projects (reaching a rate of 97%). "Super projects" such as Da Phuoc, Golden Hill, Chi Lang stadium, Hoi Ana project... are being focused on removing.
Mr. Quang affirmed: "If these projects are thoroughly resolved from now until the end of the third quarter, we will unlock hundreds of thousands of billions of VND of investment capital that is being blocked here.
Regarding urban planning, the Secretary of the City Party Committee said that the city is reviewing to recover some land and housing facilities and headquarters that are no longer suitable for public purposes. Specifically, this land fund will be used to expand and build new schools and green spaces, parking lots.
The goal by 2035 is for Da Nang to reach 6m2 of green space per capita (currently only nearly 2m2). The city is also promoting large infrastructure projects such as Lien Chieu Port (investment capital of 45,000 billion VND) and focusing on new spearheads such as the International Financial Center, semiconductor industry and AI.
Regarding administrative reform, Mr. Le Ngoc Quang requested that grassroots-level authorities must be truly close to the people, close to the people, and solve work faster and more effectively. The city is committed to supervising to the end the settlement of voters' petitions to protect the legitimate rights of people and businesses.
